The fourth international conference ICT Security 2017 will be held May 30-31, 2017 at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in Belgrade, Serbia. One of the most important events in the region that deals with advanced issues in information security is organized by eSecurity Association. By participating in the conference you can collect 12 CPE points.

ICT Security Conference is an international event, which follows the trends in the field of cyber security every year. This year all of the topics will be grouped into panels. Part of the lectures will be dedicated to the banking security operations including on-line and mobile payments and security of payment cards.

Special lectures will be based on proper management of information system security, security of mobile devices and applications, authentication problems, advanced antivirus protection and security of Linux systems, as well as digital forensics, ethical hacking, penetration testing, systems for data recovery and the latest threats and abuse techniques in information systems.

Attempts to “Shut Down“ the Internet are not something new. The actions behind these intentions are aimed at disabling the Root DNS servers that are responsible for name resolution. However, visible Web that would suffer if this action is successful is only 0.4% of the total Internet.

The new thing is the attempt to attack the internet by using IoT devices. The biggest attack of this type happened in October 2016. The attack was directed at DNS servers controlled by US company Dyn. Servers have suffered violent attacks for most of that day. They were more or less unusable and almost the whole US East Coast remained without many popular services. The network was attacked by 10 million of Internet connected IoT devices.

Beyond that topic, as part of the conference the organizers have prepared workshops. They will display some of the sophisticated attack techniques on ICT systems, and solutions for high-quality protection. Workshops will show which problems can be caused by advanced misuse of computer networks and digital banking.
