Boris Drilo new CTIO of Hrvatski Telekom

New Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical and Information Officer (CTIO) of Hrvatski Telekom, the biggest Croatian telecom operator, is Boris Drilo and he received this position for a three-year period commencing as of 1 January 2017. He was appointed by the Supervisory Board of Hrvatski Telekom.

Boris Drilo joined Hrvatski Telekom in the year 2012, coming from Ericsson Group where he spent 12 years at project and managerial functions related to development and application of telecommunications networks and new technologies. He was appointed to HT Management Board from the position of Sector Director in CTIO area. Previously, he was a Member of the Management Board in charge of technology and IT of Iskon Internet d.d., company 100% owned by HT.

Boris graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Computing at the University of Zagreb, where he spent one year as Research Assistant in the area of wireless data communications. He is Master of Science, in the field of Electrical Engineering, and he also completed the Global Program of Executive Leadership at Boston University and the Executive MBA at Cotrugli Business School in Zagreb.

Following this appointment the Management Board consists of Davor Tomašković, President, Josef Thuerriegl, in charge of finance, Saša Kramar, in charge of business customers, Nataša Rapaić, in charge of residential customers, Boris Batelić in charge of customer experience, Marija Felkel, in charge of human resources and Boris Drilo in charge of technology and IT.

The video-sharing site Vimeo, which predates YouTube, will join the crowded online-TV market, according to Bloomberg. Vimeo will soon introduce an on-demand video service akin to Netflix and Hulu, and is lining up TV shows and staff it hopes will convince people to cough up a monthly fee for yet another TV subscription. “We’re going to spend real money on programming for the first time ever, and put real marketing money behind it," IAC Chief Executive Officer Joey Levin said in an interview at CES in Las Vegas.
