HT's Regional Telekom eSport Championship Competition Ends

The first regional Telekom eSport Championship, launched by Hrvatski Telekom, Crnogorski, and Makedonski Telekom, for gaming enthusiasts from Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and the entire region, had its grand finale last weekend. 1,366 players participated in the months-long competition and demonstrated their knowledge and skills by competing through the qualification, league, and playoff stages.

After more than 220 hours of streams on Telekom eSports Twitch channels, the best qualified for the grand finale. Six finalists competed in three games, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rocket League, and FIFA22. The winners are Teo Radman (FIFA22), last year's winner of Hrvatski Telekom e-League, 0to100 (CS: GO), and Seikoopaths (Rocket League).

Hrvatski Telekom gave a new dimension to the regional gaming industry since the competition was not intended for entertainment only. The goal was also to educate, promote equality, combat hate speech, and self-care. The Telekom eSport Championship included various activities that encouraged new skills among competitors and spectators and female competitors.

"The Telekom eSports Championship, in addition to being a top show, showed that eSports is not just a game, but a community that connects brings people together, and knows no physical boundaries. This was also confirmed by the survey we conducted among esports enthusiasts during the competition. We are glad that our more than 1,300 participants and numerous viewers who followed everything online learned a lot through this competition. We will continue to follow trends in esports and develop esports competitions with even more new experiences, excitement, and knowledge for the competitors themselves and for the viewers," said Branka Bajt, HT’s brand director.

This year's prize fund was €21,800 and was divided among the four best-placed teams in each category - the four best placed in the Counter-Strike game: Global Offensive won a total of €15,000, in Rocket League €4,400, and in FIFA22 €2,400. The project was created with the support of partners Samsung and Progame, and all additional information and footage of the Telekom eSports Championship can be found on and the Telekom eSports YouTube channel.
