Bosch Launches €100 Million Fund for German Startups
The Bosch Group is allocating €100 million in fresh capital to startups within Germany. Through the newly established Spark fund, the company intends to significantly broaden its engagement within the German startup ecosystem. The objective is to facilitate technological progress in the country while generating further growth momentum for Bosch.
“Germany’s startup landscape is not only attractive from a technological standpoint, but it also holds great potential for our growth areas,” stated Christian Fischer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Bosch. “Through financing, collaborations, and partnerships, we want to gain greater access to new business models and disruptive technologies that have the potential to transform entire markets. At the same time, our Spark fund also strengthens the German innovation ecosystem.”
In Bosch’s perspective, the German business environment now features a startup scene that has matured over several years, an innovation landscape encompassing a broad technological spectrum, and exceptionally robust industrial and scientific foundations. Bosch is currently among Europe’s largest corporate investors, with its various funds providing more than €1 billion in venture capital to date. Most recently, the firm's venture capital subsidiary introduced its sixth fund in 2025.
Bosch Ventures will officially launch the Spark venture capital fund on January 1, 2027. This initiative is directed at deep-tech startups in Germany across all developmental stages, with a particular focus on seed and early-stage investments, as well as supporting successful portfolio companies in subsequent financing rounds. Investments will be distributed throughout Germany, with specific targets also involving startups in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
