Investors to Put $500 Billion Into New Nvidia AI Plan
Nvidia signed strategic partnerships with several companies to establish AI compute infrastructure financing platforms. The plan behind the partnership with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR is to mobilise more than $500 billion of third-party capital to build related infrastructure.
The chipmaker stated that memoranda of understanding would help create the first compute-financing platforms of their kind at a global scale, intended to fund frontier AI laboratories, clouds, and enterprises. It noted that the platforms are designed to create dedicated pools of capital at significant scale and attractive rates for its customers, positioning Nvidia compute and full-stack AI infrastructure as an investable asset class.
“We are bringing the world’s leading long-term capital providers together to independently underwrite AI infrastructure,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said. “These financing platforms will help customers access scarce compute at scale and build the DSX AI factories that will power every industry and country”. Nvidia described its compute as an investable asset offering the lowest token cost, highest revenue, and longest life, alongside a rich ecosystem of buyers.
