Telecom Italia Makes Changes at the Top of Its Management

Telecom Italia has finalized a series of leadership transitions within its enterprise and technology divisions, with the newly appointed executives assuming their responsibilities this week. The outgoing department heads are scheduled to conclude their tenure with the telecommunications provider at the end of the current calendar year.

Mirko Mischiatti has been designated as the new Chief Enterprise and Innovative Solutions Officer, succeeding Elio Schiavo, who occupied the position for over four years. Mischiatti transitions from Poste Italiane, the entity that secured a controlling interest in the operator following a shareholder buyout earlier this year. His previous experience includes serving as the head of digital, technology, and operations at the national postal service.

The company has also appointed Claudio Ongaro as Chief Technology Officer, elevated from his prior role overseeing strategy, business development, and wholesale operations. He replaces Leonardo de Carvalho Capdeville, who directed the technology office for two years following a decade-long leadership role in the firm’s Brazilian division. CEO Pietro Labriola will manage Ongaro's former strategic responsibilities on an interim basis while the departing executives pursue new professional opportunities outside the organization.
