A1 Telekom Finishes Rebranding in Serbia

The A1 Telekom Austria Group's operating company in Serbia announced the replacement of its local brand Vip mobile by A1. This marks a significant milestone in that it finalized the Group-wide roll-out of the A1 brand.

"As of today, we are officially operating under one consistent, powerful brand in all our seven core markets. With our continuous investments in digital infrastructure, we are building the foundation for future economic growth and prosperity in the region. In addition, the A1 brand is explicitly linked to our commitment to actively assume ecological and social responsibility and to be a central driver of a sustainable digital transformation in Serbia and the entire A1 Group footprint," said Thomas Arnoldner, CEO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group.

"Started in 2007 as the country's largest greenfield investment, the company as A1 Serbia will offer an even more compelling digital customer experience by providing convincing services and solutions for life, work and entertainment in the digital age. A1 offers an attractive portfolio of products and services in Serbia, ranging from tariffs and packages to smart home solutions, gaming, IoT, cloud and cyber security solutions," added Alejandro Plater, COO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group.

Following the announcement by the A1 Telekom Austria Group to gradually expand the A1 brand to its entire operating business, in 2018 the rebranding of the Bulgarian and Croatian subsidiaries to A1 and a brand refresh in Austria took place. The brand was previously already implemented on the Slovenian market and at A1 Digital as well as in the international corporate brand A1 Telekom Austria Group.

In August 2019, the subsidiary in Belarus had announced the finalization of its local rebranding into A1. Since the beginning of September 2019, the Group's company operating in North Macedonia has also been underlining its repositioning with its market presence as A1. The rebranding in Serbia, which has now taken place, completes the consistent presence of the Group across its entire footprint under the common A1 brand.
