Business Intelligence Continued to Invest in its Own Products
Dražen Tomić - Tomich Productions

During the last year, Croatian IT company Business Intelligence consolidated and further developed its own products. They have made that after an exceptionally successful 2018, which was driven by the advent of the GDPR, company Chairman Dražen Oreščanin points out for ICTbusiness.info. He said there are ongoing processes that should result in the integration of their Data Privacy Manager solution in Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant. That would be a confirmation as one of the best software solutions in the segment by market analysts.

What was 2019 like for your company?

Ladt year, from our point of view, can be assessed as a transitional year in which we have been fully invested in the development and certification of our leading products. After a large increase in revenue in 2018, linked to the adoption of the GDPR, we managed to keep the same revenue and had a modest growth in employment. We certainly need to stress out that our telecommunications data warehouse model has been certified to comply with TM Forum Frameworx requirements, as the first and the only software product of a Croatian company, and the only model in the world that has been certified over the last five years, which has already been reflected in some agreements with global communication operators.

There are ongoing processes that should result in the integration of our Product Privacy Manager in Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant, which would also be a validation by market analysts that it is one of the world’s best software in the field. Our company in Great Britain, called BIRD Consulting, has become fully active. In addition, for the results achieved in 2018, we received a Golden Kuna for the best small company in the City of Zagreb, and also became members of Elite Network platform by London Stock Exchange through which we prepare for a faster global growth.

What do you expect from 2020?

We expect to increase the revenue from selling our software products and to increase revenue from the US and Western European markets. We expect moderate growth in total revenue and an increase in employment as a result of the investments we made last year, primarily by revenue from foreign markets, certificates and entries in the reports of market analysts that we have started in 2019. We believe that 2020 will also be the year in which we will start considering capital markets options more actively.
