Crnogorski Telekom and Ericsson Nikola Tesla continue their successful cooperation aimed at modernizing and improving Telekom’s 5G network. During the MWC 2026, CEOs of two companies, Stjepan Udovičić from Crnogorski Telekom and Siniša Krajnović from Ericsson Nikola Tesla, signed an agreement.

The partnership with ENT has resulted in Crnogorski Telekom’s mobile network being officially recognized as the network with the widest 4G and 5G coverage in Montenegro, delivering performance and availability levels that exceed those of many EU countries. The agreement defines the continued development of the 5G network through ongoing improvements in service quality, increased capacity, and expanded coverage, in line with growing user demands and continuous monitoring of network performance.

The plan includes adding 5G capacity in the 3.6 GHz band in urban and suburban areas, where demand is highest and higher throughput network capacity is required, as well as commissioning new base stations to relieve existing capacity and enhance service quality. In rural areas, further modernization of existing and the construction of new 5G sites are planned, with optimal use of the 700 MHz spectrum to improve 5G coverage and strengthen the capacity of the existing 5G network, including meeting obligations to the EKIP Agency based on the allocated spectrum.

“By extending this partnership, we reaffirm our clear strategic commitment to providing customers in Montenegro with a network of the highest quality, supported by continued investment in 5G and further infrastructure modernization. Our goal is to remain the technological leader and a reliable digital partner for citizens and businesses, with standards comparable to those of the most advanced European markets, with the ambition to deliver beyond that level. Together with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, we continue to build a network that meets the growing needs of users as well as enables and accelerates the digital transformation of society in Montenegro,” stated Udovičić.

“The extension of this partnership, which further strengthens the long-standing cooperation between Crnogorski Telekom and Ericsson Nikola Tesla, is a confirmation of our shared success over many years and of our clear strategic commitment to developing a modern and reliable mobile infrastructure. The continuation of this cooperation reflects the trust placed in our technological excellence, delivery capabilities, and the expertise of our teams. We look forward to continuing the modernization of Crnogorski Telekom’s mobile network and introduction of 5G technologies that ensure a superior user experience and the highest quality standards in the coming period,” emphasized Krajnović.
