Honor announced it would unveil its first humanoid robot during a product event at MWC26 Barcelona. The vendor will also announce its latest mobile devices, including a so-called robot phone.

In an announcement previewing its upcoming launches, Honor lauded its entry into the humanoid robotics space as a major milestone, as it asserted it is the first smartphone company to move into the segment.   It will join various specialist and general technology companies in the sector. Smartphone rival Xiaomi demonstrated its CyberOne human form robot in 2022, though it is not currently widely available for purchase.

While limited information was released about Honor’s embodied AI humanoid robot, the company highlighted that the product event would also show its robot phone evolve from concept to reality. Promotional videos about the smartphone show a largely standard form-factor with the addition of a small arm coming from the back holding a mounted camera, which is able to film across a wide range of movement. Honor’s launch event is scheduled for 1 March, a day before the official start of MWC26 Barcelona.
