HT Starts the Biggest Business Race Challenge Online

Over the past few years, spring was reserved for major business events, and one of them was HT B2Run, the largest business-sports gathering in Croatia. This year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic made the situation much different as all public events, including the HT B2Run race, have been postponed for some better times. But the organizers have also risen up to this challenge by launching the biggest online racing HT B2Run Challenge #ostanidoma.

All registered runners, their coworkers, friends, families are invited to take part in the challenge. Their main task is to run five kilometers in their home. After the challenge, they post the kilometers and short videos on their Facebook profile under the common hashtag #HTB2RunChallenge #ostanidoma.

The event's purpose is to inspire the business public to the challenge and, in addition to the entertainment, in isolation of their own home, to simultaneously work on their physical and mental health and start moving and doing some physical activity. In the first two days of April, the challenge was joined by almost 300 business runners, who have challenged several hundred new ones in their posts.

"Limited by space, following directions of the Civilian Headquarters, we did not want our active and large racing community of more than 10,000 runners to become dormant, so we challenged them and organized the largest home training ever. In the HT B2Run Challenge, it is only necessary to stay home and run five kilometers. Time and results are irrelevant," said Jurica Barać, the organizer of the HT B2Run races.

"This is only the first step of our challenge. We will upgrade it from week to week with new attractions. And as a general finale, I see a gathering of all our runners at the finish lines of the HT B2Run races in Split, Rijeka, Osijek, and Zagreb. Of course, as soon as the opportunities for that arise because, in this challenge, it is just as important as in business not to give up," Barać added.

The first phase of HT B2Run's "Ostani doma" (Stay home) challenge is open until April 7, with all information available on the website www.htb2run.hr. Anyone who runs the required five kilometers in their own home, no matter the time and result, will get a medal and a non-alcoholic beer.
