The upcoming CES 2022 show in Las Vegas is struggling with cancellations caused by the rapid spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. Another big company that canceled its in-person presence is Microsoft.
The company said in a statement it will not participate in person in Las Vegas, joining a list of companies that will not have a physical presence at the event. Microsoft added it will participate remotely.
Several other big companies already made a similar decision. So far, firms like Google, Facebook, Twitter, Lenovo, Pinterest, AT&T, and Amazon canceled their physical attendance. CES officials said the event will still be held in person from January 5th to 8th with strong safety measures in place.
