One month following the launch of the first commercial 5G network in six cities, Hrvatski Telekom continues to build its network in Croatia. It is now also available in Đakovo, Našice, Požega, Varaždin, Vinkovci, Virovitica, Vukovar, and Županja. The 5G network is currently available in 14 Croatian cities and towns and covers one million citizens.

"We want to make the 5G network available in all parts of Croatia. That is why we have made a new 5G step forward in seven Slavonian cities and Varaždin. 5G is a new innovation platform that will enable full digitalization in the field of production, logistics, and agriculture and enable further development of digital services for public administration and health," said Boris Drilo, member of the Management Board and CTIO of Hrvatski Telekom.

HT's 5G network currently operates on Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) technology, which allows the use of existing frequencies for 5G and rapid implementation of the 5G network. It reduces the need for new base stations and locations on specific 5G frequencies. HT offers specific tariffs to its customers for using the 5G network, available until June 30, 2021, without additional costs. For this, they need to be in the area covered by a 5G network and have a compatible device.
