The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has entered into an agreement with xAI to make the company’s Grok artificial intelligence models available to federal agencies through March 2027.
According to GSA, the partnership falls under the agency’s OneGov initiative, which is designed to streamline procurement of AI tools and support federal adoption of emerging technologies. The deal establishes access to xAI’s Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast models for agencies at a standardized price, and it is described as the most cost-efficient arrangement to date under OneGov.
As part of the agreement, xAI will provide introductory training, dedicate engineering resources to assist with deployment, and collaborate with agencies on integration strategies. The goal is to accelerate the use of AI to improve efficiency, decision-making, and service delivery across government operations.
GSA said the arrangement underscores its commitment to ensuring agencies have access to secure, scalable, and advanced AI capabilities, while promoting consistency in how emerging technologies are adopted within the federal enterprise.
