Austria-based A1 Group said the first quarter of 2025 was marked by robust results, considering the challenging environment. The operator group reported growth in revenue, EBITDA, and number of mobile subscribers.

The company saw a 3.7% total revenue growth, with both services and equipment revenues up. EBITDA excluding restructuring grew by 8.1%, as mobile subscriber numbers went up by 8.4%. During that period, A1 launched the Competence Delivery Center for B2B digital services and started offering fixed broadband services on its own fiber infrastructure in Serbia.

“Despite a challenging macro and market environment, we started 2025 with a solid performance. In the first quarter, revenue growth was 3.7%, driven by higher service and equipment revenues. In the mobile business, our customer base grew by more than 8%, with a robust increase in the M2M Business. To further accelerate the growth in B2B Digital Services, we have established a dedicated Competence Delivery Center, bundling our international resources and expertise,“ said Alejandro Plater, CEO of A1 Group.

For 2025, A1 confirms its guidance for revenue growth of 2 to 3%. The group stated it plans to do this by staying relevant to its customers and anticipating consumer and technology trends. CAPEX excluding spectrum is expected to amount to around €800 million.

“EBITDA excluding restructuring grew by 8.1% thanks to the solid service revenue development and our continued focus on improving operational efficiency. Free cash flow was over 150 million euros. Service revenues increased in all our markets except for Austria. Results benefited from solid demand for high-speed broadband, B2B digital services, and TV products, supported by value-protecting measures,” added Thomas Arnoldner, Deputy CEO of A1 Group.
