ICEmarket, Croatian App for Yacht Charter
ICEmarket, a product of an established global yacht events company, Jadranski skiperi, and a software development agency Calyx, was officially launched last month in Greece during the annual Charter Meetup Athens. The project was incepted by Tino Prosenik after years of organizing the biggest B2B yacht event in the industry, the International Charter Expo.
“With the decline of demand from the private sector, charter companies have become the most important link in the yacht sales chain. These companies are no longer just consumers but rather distributors; actively seeking new private and corporate investors. With the growth of this new sales channel, the motive for purchasing yachts is shifting from ownership to pure investment,” said Tino Prosenik, the CEO and product owner of the ICEmarket app.
Frequent and fruitful contacts with charter companies and their suppliers, the shipyards being on the top of the chain, led to a conclusion that a more direct and transparent communication is crucial for the long-term sustainability of the yacht sales business. While still in beta and targeting a specific B2B niche, ICEmarket is closely collaborating with its clients on improving the app's functionalities until the big official launch at the ICE’18. event in November in Zagreb Arena.
