Meta Platforms has introduced two new artificial intelligence models designed to manage complex professional and personal functions. CEO Mark Zuckerberg asserted that the company has achieved the technological "frontier" of AI.

Following significant capital expenditure in research and computing infrastructure, the technology firm stated that the Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full models represent its most sophisticated offerings to date. These models are capable of executing diverse tasks, including software coding, document analysis, and the interpretation of legal, personal finance, and healthcare data.

Among the primary features is Active Memory, which facilitates the retention of pertinent user information across various interactions. The agents are also integrated with Active Focus to assist in the pursuit of long-duration tasks, enabling them to adapt to new information, remediate errors, and request user clarification prior to executing critical actions.

Meta asserts that its internal evaluations demonstrated robust performance across benchmarks for agent functionality, memory, and coding, noting that the advanced Muse Wonder Full variant exhibits superior performance on unfamiliar tasks. Departing from its previous open-source strategy, Meta is distributing Muse Wonder through its proprietary developer and subscription channels, representing a direct challenge to AI chatbots from competitors such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Access fees will range from 20 cents per million tokens for basic usage to $200 per month for the premium Muse Wonder Full version.

Regarding the launch and the state of frontier AI, Zuckerberg remarked that the new models facilitate significantly more sophisticated behaviors that are at the leading edge of the field. He noted that reaching this milestone necessitated substantial computational resources and sustained research investment. He further indicated that model development and expenditure are continuing, stating that the company is already focused on the subsequent phase of advancement.
