Netgem will demonstrate the first of its new range of out-of-the box lifestyle entertainment solutions at Mobile World Congress. The new solutions will enable mobile operators to conquer the household and enable them to differentiate through disruptive form factors and “wow“ features.

Unveiled for the first time at MWC, this new lifestyle entertainment product will enable mobile operators to deploy a fully integrated connected home and entertainment experience to users quickly and without large Capex injections.

Netgem will also be demonstrating a number of first-to-market deployments to telecoms operators, including the latest update of EE TV in the UK, where users can make use of Watch with Twitter. The service, which is live on the operator’s TV platform, provides a unique form of socially recommended live TV by allowing viewers to see the top five shows being discussed on the platform.

Commenting on Netgem’s presence at MWC 2017 Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of Netgem, said that mobile operators have tried to use entertainment to differentiate and boost loyalty within their user base with limited success “At MWC 2017, Netgem will be showcasing a solution that will enable operators to deliver long term value to their customers by leveraging compelling entertainment solutions to conquer the smart home,“ said Thevenot.

Netgem will also launch SoundBox, a new connected device category. It combines the functionalities of a connected speaker with the capabilities of a TV box to create a platform for a new generation of connected entertainment services. It will also be compatible with Amazon Alexa, and the customised solutions based on SoundBox will be available to telecom service providers to help them launch new services.
