Ericsson Will Modernize Telekom Albania Core and Radio Networks
Ericsson has been selected by Telekom Albania as the sole supplier to modernize the service provider’s radio and core networks in a break-in deal spanning five years.

Ericsson will upgrade Telekom Albania’s network capabilities to Gigabit LTE class while also making the network 5G ready using the latest Radio System equipment. A new virtualized core network based on the Cloud Core, Cloud VoLTE and system verified Network Function Virtual Infrastructure (NFVI) solutions will also enhance the customer experience.

The deal with Ericsson is central to this transformation. These investments shall serve to the benefit of our customers as well as to the continuing modernization and advancement of Albania,” stated Ralitsa Agayn Guri, Chief of Board of Directors at Telekom Albania.
