Nokia and Vodafone Conduct First Trial of L4S Technology
Nokia and Vodafone are collaborating to test the viability of L4S technology over passive optical networks (PON).
The Town of Donja Stubica and the municipalities of Bistra and Dugopolje are part of the cities and municipalities which, as part of the WiFi4EU initiative, were awarded a voucher in the amount of €15,000. Thanks to years of successful cooperation with Hrvatski Telekom, these communities have chosen HT as a technological partner and the best contractor to provide public free WiFi internet for their residents.
In the Town of Donja Stubica, a modern WiFi network has been implemented, which covers key locations in the city, further improving the town's infrastructure and allowing even better connectivity. The municipality of Bistra owns a modern optical infrastructure that allows high-speed data transfer. It participates in the development of Croatia in e-mobility and has an EV charging station with two parking spaces. By covering public areas with free WiFi internet life for its residents, the Municipality of Bistra is further modernized and raises the quality of life for its residents.
The Municipality of Dugopolje has also recognized the importance of modernization and connectivity, so it received a voucher as part of the WiFi4EU program, and in cooperation with Hrvatski Telekom, access points were set up at key city locations. However, Dugopolje has made an additional step forward with the aim of providing connectivity for as many of its residents as possible, and they have invested their own additional funds to provide internet access for almost the entire area of the municipality.
