HT Invests HRK 29 Million in Bringing Fiber to Velika Gorica Users

Hrvatski Telekom has started deploying the optical infrastructure in the area of the city of Velika Gorica. It will provide citizens with gigabit speeds. The project worth around HRK 29 million will enable the connection of as many as 14,000 households to internet with speeds over 100 Mbit/s, and in the future, these speeds will go over 1 Gbit/s.

“We are very pleased that Velika Gorica is part of our fiber-optic investments, which will provide a large number of citizens with a superior user experience through the ultra-fast connectivity. Hrvatski Telekom continues with its investment plans this year in a challenging business environment. It is evidenced by the record 60 percent growth in covering Croatian households with optics, which we plan to realize this year,“ said Boris Drilo, member of Hrvatski Telekom's Management Board and CTIO.

“Contemporary high-speed communication infrastructure nowadays is one of the most important preconditions for economic development and attracting investments. The planned investment of Hrvatski Telekom in the optical infrastructure in the area of ​​Velika Gorica is the most significant development project of this type so far, which is equally important for economic entities and institutions, as well as for households,“ said the Mayor of Velika Gorica Dražen Barišić.
