Aggregate Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) revenue is expected to more than double over the next five years, rising from $21 billion in 2026, according to a report by Juniper Research. The study identifies the expansion of conversational AI and authentication as primary growth drivers, with emerging channels such as RCS, OTT messaging (including WhatsApp), and mobile identity APIs poised to benefit from the decline of traditional SMS.

As part of this analysis, Juniper Research published its 2026 Competitor Leaderboard for CPaaS providers. Croatia-based Infobip secured the top position, ahead of Twilio, Sinch, Vonage, and Tata Communications. CPaaS vendors are becoming increasingly vital as enterprises aim to deliver personalized, omnichannel customer experiences.

The leading CPaaS platforms allow businesses to seamlessly integrate messaging, voice, video, and OTT services through APIs enhanced with advanced conversational AI. Top-tier providers are evolving toward omnichannel solutions that integrate automation, analytics, and full system interoperability. This trend offers businesses opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction—a crucial differentiator as basic communication services become increasingly commoditized.

“Competition was intense in this year’s analysis as the CPaaS market continues to broaden,” noted Peter Boyland, Principal Analyst at Juniper Research. “However, Infobip maintained its leadership due to its comprehensive portfolio, the AgentOS full-stack solution, and its extensive global reach.”
