The German audio specialist beyerdynamic has introduced its latest wireless headphones during the ShowStoppers event at IFA Berlin. The new Aventho Y over-ear model represents a strategic blend of the company's traditional engineering expertise with modern design aesthetics and contemporary technological solutions.
Available in four distinct colors, the Aventho Y is positioned for style-conscious users who rely on high-quality audio for focus and relaxation. The headphones are engineered around a 45mm dynamic driver to deliver rich and detailed sound, supported by Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to minimize external distractions. Performance is a key feature, with the device offering up to 90 hours of battery life with ANC disabled, complemented by a fast-charging capability that provides six hours of playback from a mere five-minute charge.
“Music is something very personal. We associate it with memories, moods, and special moments,” said Kathrin Noe, Director of Global Marketing at beyerdynamic. “With the Aventho Y, we want to bring this connection to life in two ways: through the sound quality that beyerdynamic is known for, and a design that leaves room for personal expression. That’s the idea behind ‘Hear your Why’.”
Technical connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 6.0 with Multipoint support, allowing users to switch seamlessly between multiple devices. Sustainability and practicality are addressed through replaceable ear cushions and a user-replaceable battery. For those requiring a more versatile setup, an optional upgrade package featuring a USB-C dongle and a color-matched boom microphone is available to convert the unit into a full headset. The Aventho Y is currently available at retail with a recommended price of €149.
