Nokia Reports Good Q3 Results Supported by Strong Growth in AI
Nokia has reported a significant increase in both revenue and profitability for the third quarter of 2026.

Nokia has reported a significant increase in both revenue and profitability for the third quarter of 2026. These financial results underscore the company's strengthening position within the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence sector, which is providing substantial momentum for the firm.
Net sales reached nearly €5.2 billion, representing a 10% year-on-year increase, or 9% when adjusted for currency fluctuations. The firm recorded a net profit of €156 million for the period, a 95% improvement over the previous year. Sales within the AI and cloud segment surged by 123%, supported by €1.5 billion in new orders secured during the quarter.
Revenue within the Mobile Infrastructure division rose 5% to €2.9 billion, a performance partially influenced by a shift in income recognition from the fourth quarter. The company emphasized that this segment benefited from rigorous commercial discipline and the successful execution of ongoing cost-efficiency strategies aimed at stabilizing margins.
CEO Justin Hotard highlighted the substantial growth in AI and cloud product demand during the quarter, asserting that the vendor is strategically positioned to capitalize on the global requirement for specialized infrastructure. Hotard also noted a significant order backlog, which suggests continued growth momentum in these key areas for the foreseeable future.
“Nokia’s core competencies are uniquely aligned with the increasing demand for large-scale, distributed, and hyperconnected AI infrastructure. We are focusing our investments where we can achieve differentiation and foster co-innovation alongside hyperscale partners.”
During an event hosted by Nvidia, a key partner and investor, Hotard detailed progress regarding the company's AI-RAN initiatives. “AI-native networks are transitioning into the physical domain, and our AI-RAN platform is specifically engineered to provide the high-performance capabilities required by this emerging market,” Hotard remarked.
