LG prepares to spin out a quartet of businesses specialising in AI, robotics, and materials. The company took those startups through its incubation program launched in 2023.

Studio 341 start-ups Seca, Machine Flow, Free Kitchen Lab, and Atomer are in line for investments of up to KRW400 million ($271,693) once spin-off procedures are completed, which LG expects by July. LG stated Seca developed a way to use AI to detect errors in hardware design data, and Machine Flow, an agent to improve code quality. Free Kitchen Lab is offering businesses kitchen automation robots and operations management, and Atomer developed a fabless, advanced flame-retardant material design system.

The quartet has received expert guidance on its way to being selected for spin-out and was chosen according to its competitiveness, a metric LG explained went beyond business value by including an evaluation of the make-up of its teams and capabilities. The company stated that a previous batch of graduates spun off in 2024 is growing rapidly across various fields, including AI, robotics, materials, and platforms. It broadened the Studio 341 scheme’s scope in 2025 to bring in external start-ups with a focus on improving customer service.
