Following the successful workshops in April and May of this year, Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator again organizes free workshops of programming designed exclusively for women.

In fact, statistics show that only about ten percent of the initiators of startups in the world are women. Although the development of Internet startups is in full swing, women make only 14 percent of employees in this sector. Desiring to change these figures, ZIP prepared a new programming workshop.

After the first cycle, when the participants successfully learned the basics of web technology, in this cycle ZIP's lecturers will teach them C # programming. They will learn about the structure of .NET Framework 4.5 environment, the basics of programming in C#, how to create simple console applications, and the basics of object-oriented programming. Ivan Čuljak, .NET developer and owner of transpose.xyz, Agency for Development of software specialized for Xamarin and Azure solutions, will hold lectures at these workshops.

ZIP will again hold the workshops for the two groups of participants, all of them on Sundays. The first workshop starts on October 23 at 9 am at ZIP's coworking space. To participate, one only needs a laptop with Visual Studio 2015 installed. No previous experience with programming is needed, although it is necessary to log in and answer some questions, after which participants will be selected.

In addition to ZIP, the importance of this project has been recognized by others as well. The support is provided by the US Embassy, and catering Cronique, which will make sure that the participants do not learn on an empty stomach, and that their concentration is always at its best, all thanks to the unique offering local gourmet food from all parts of our beautiful country.
