DT and Nvidia to Create German Industrial AI Cloud
Deutsche Telekom and Nvidia announced plans to create an industrial AI cloud facility in Germany.
Deutsche Telekom and Nvidia announced plans to create an industrial AI cloud facility in Germany. Implementation of the infrastructure is expected by 2026 at the latest. Manufacturing services will include design, engineering, simulation, digital twins, and robotics.
The operator explained that the cloud would provide the opportunity to advance Germany as an industrial hub that rapidly implements AI. DT will be responsible for data centers, operations, sales, security, and AI systems, while Nvidia will supply 10,000 GPUs alongside networking and AI software.
“Europe’s technological future needs a sprint, not a stroll,” DT CEO Tim Hoettges said, adding, “We must seize the opportunities of artificial intelligence now, revolutionize our industry, and secure a leading position in the global technology competition. Our economic success depends on quick decisions and collaborative innovations”.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang noted that in the era of AI, every manufacturer needs two factories: one for making things and one for creating the intelligence that powers them. “By building Europe’s first industrial AI infrastructure, we’re enabling the region’s leading industrial companies to advance simulation-first, AI-driven manufacturing.”
