Infobip has officially introduced RCS BusinessOS, an end-to-end operating layer designed to assist mobile network operators in launching, managing, and monetizing RCS for Business. The solution is structured to allow operators to enter the Rich Communication Services market without the need to develop a full commercial and operational stack from the ground up.

As the adoption of RCS continues to gain momentum, operators are shifting their focus from simple channel enablement to building a scalable business model. Given the increasing demand from global brands and the new opportunities for deep customer engagement, RCS is becoming a critical revenue stream for telecommunications companies seeking to capitalize on the evolving business messaging landscape.

RCS BusinessOS addresses this opportunity through four distinct, integrated layers that support the entire RCS lifecycle. Operators can adopt these components based on their specific technical and commercial requirements:

  • Enable: Covers technical enablement, device provisioning, and onboarding into the broader RCS ecosystem for both Android and iOS devices.
  • Control: Provides network-level visibility, traffic governance, and advanced spam and fraud protection.
  • Monetize: Offers flexible monetization models supported by a CPaaS platform tailored for operator-specific use cases.
  • Operate: Delivers managed services, operational support, and lifecycle execution for business agents.

By integrating these capabilities into a single framework, Infobip aims to help carriers accelerate their time-to-market and reduce operational complexity while providing a secure, trusted alternative to over-the-top (OTT) channels. ”RCS is moving from early adoption to becoming a mainstream business messaging channel. For carriers, the challenge is no longer whether to support RCS, but how to operationalize it at scale. RCS BusinessOS is designed to give operators a complete, production-ready operating model — from enablement through to monetization and day-to-day operations,” said Dave Boddington, RCS Business Unit Head at Infobip.

Data from Juniper Research suggests that the volume of RCS business messages is projected to exceed 485 billion globally by 2030, a significant jump from 125 billion in 2026. This 286% growth highlights the scale of the opportunity for operators. Unlike more fragmented market solutions that focus on individual technical components like Entitlement Servers or MaaP layers, Infobip positions RCS BusinessOS as a modular operating model that spans technical, commercial, and governance management. This approach allows operators to maintain a central role in the messaging ecosystem while improving their oversight of traffic and customer onboarding.

Infobip’s expertise in this field is backed by its partnership with Google, which dates back to 2018, and its current RCS connectivity across more than 70 countries, including partnerships with Tier-1 carriers in the United States. This experience is complemented by the firm’s global footprint and regulatory knowledge, enabling faster onboarding for mobile operators. The launch further cements Infobip’s position in the RCS sector, where it has previously received recognition from Juniper Research and multiple industry awards for its technical innovation
