Bosch has announced a strategic reorganization of its corporate structure to accelerate innovation and adapt to changing market dynamics. The company plans to transition its Mobility business sector and key central service units—including Bosch Digital, Global Business Services, and Global Real Estate—into separate legal entities within Germany.
These units will operate as wholly owned subsidiaries under the Bosch Group. This move standardizes the company’s organizational framework, as other sectors such as Industrial Technology and Consumer Goods already function under this model. The reorganization aims to improve Bosch’s innovative capacity by strengthening entrepreneurship, increasing flexibility, and shortening decision-making cycles.
“We are navigating an increasingly competitive global environment, particularly with the emergence of new rivals from Asia,” stated Christian Fischer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Bosch. “To maintain our lead, we must bring innovations to market more rapidly and simplify our internal processes. Our objective is to sustainably increase profitability to fund future technological breakthroughs from our internal resources.”
As part of this transition, approximately 62,500 employees in Germany will be transferred to the new subsidiaries under their existing employment contracts. Following the reorganization, the core Bosch entity will primarily consist of corporate headquarters and the central research and advanced engineering divisions, involving over 3,000 associates.
The Mobility sector will remain the largest division within the Bosch Group, having generated €55.8 billion in revenue in 2025—roughly 60% of total group sales. As a separate subsidiary, Bosch Mobility intends to provide more tailored, integrated solutions to global customers while investing more strategically in growth fields.
Markus Heyn, Chairman of the Mobility business sector, noted, “To maintain our leadership, we must realign with evolving customer requirements. This structure allows us to act more powerfully as a unified team and respond faster within one of the world’s most demanding industries.”
