Independent experts and users recognized Hrvatski Telekom's 5G network as the fastest 5G network in Croatia. By winning the Ookla Speedtest Award, it once again confirmed its status as the leading network in Croatia.

Tests were conducted during the second and third quarters of this year with more than 100,000 user-initiated 5G tests via iOS and Android mobile apps on all mobile networks in Croatia. HT recorded by far the best Speed Score.

User experiences and thorough analysis showed that HT's network made a significant step forward, which is also evident from the growth of 5G median download speed in the third quarter of 2022 by 33 percent, compared to the same period last year. It is a confirmation of HT's leadership position as the fastest 5G network, with the highest coverage and the best user experience.

"The latest Ookla recognition is the result of our continuous efforts and significant investments in network development, thanks to which we continued to build the fastest and largest 5G network in Croatia and enabled our users to take advantage of all the advantages of the leading 5G network. We plan to continue improving both fixed and mobile networks. Our network covers almost 100 towns and cities throughout Croatia and more than two million people. We also achieved a double-digit growth rate of our FTTH network, and provide fiber optics for half a million households. Constructing the 5G network, especially in these challenging times, proves our commitment and support to the economy, society, companies, and individuals, as it directly contributes to the acceleration of economic activity, increased competitiveness, employment and promotes national development," said Boris Drilo, CTIO of Hrvatski Telekom.
