Xiaomi Auto has officially announced its plans to enter the European automotive market, including Germany, beginning in 2027. To facilitate this move, the Chinese manufacturer signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with an initial group of leading German automotive dealer organizations during the IFA Berlin 2026 event.

Following its rapid success in China—where the company has delivered more than 700,000 vehicles since its electric vehicle debut in early 2024—Xiaomi Auto is focused on developing high-quality, smart electrified vehicles designed to integrate into a global ecosystem of intelligent living. Europe, as the historic home of the automobile and one of the world's most sophisticated markets, represents a critical milestone in the company's international expansion strategy.

The signing ceremony at IFA Berlin serves as the foundational step in establishing a robust retail and service network across the continent. Xiaomi Auto is actively seeking partnerships with additional European dealers to ensure the delivery of premium service experiences and world-class products to local consumers. Germany, known for its established and highly reputable dealer groups, serves as the starting point for this network, with further partnerships expected to follow as the company moves toward its 2027 launch.

"Standing in Berlin, we are pleased to begin this new chapter with eight of the most respected automotive dealer partners in Germany," said Yu Liguo, Vice President of Xiaomi Auto and Head of Xiaomi Auto International Business Department. "Xiaomi Auto is committed to long-term investment in Europe. With our European R&D center in Munich and a growing network of sales and service partners, we are dedicated to bringing European customers innovative products and first-class service experiences. Local partnerships are at the heart of this commitment."
