In cooperation with the Town of Jastrebarsko, Hrvatski Telekom has started deploying the optical infrastructure in the area. It will provide citizens with gigabit speeds. It is an HRK 7.7 million investment, which by the end of this year will provide around 3,100 Jastrebarsko households in the city center with the opportunity to enjoy gigabit speeds.

HT is improving the existing infrastructure by shortening the user loop by bringing the optical infrastructure closer to the users and upgrading the equipment. With the investment of an additional HRK 2 million, it will be possible to include vectoring and supervectoring technology that will provide 100 Mbit/s for additional 1,335 households in the communities of Domagović, Čabdin, Cvetković, Novaki Petrovinski, Gornja Reka, Donja Reka, and Zdihovo.

With the introduction of fiber optics, the citizens of Jastrebarsko will be provided with better and faster internet access, increased economic activity, and quality of life. For the citizens, 4,435 households, it will mean better home internet connection that enables seamless work from home, easier viewing of remote school classes. It will also help the local community to attract entrepreneurs, increase the efficiency of services, stimulate competitive environment and services, and increasing computer literacy.

"Hrvatski Telekom continues to invest in fiber optic infrastructure even in these challenging times, and I am glad that Jastrebarsko is part of our investments. Fast and high-quality internet access will enable the entire community of the Town of Jastrebarsko to increase economic activity and the quality of life of citizens,” said Boris Drilo, the Chief Technical and Chief Information Technology Officer of Hrvatski Telekom.

"We welcome the project of building the fiber optic infrastructure of Hrvatski Telekom in Jaska, which represents a major step forward in the quality of the telecommunications network.
