The launch of the RETN PoP at Altus IT data center reflects the rising demand for global connectivity in the Balkan region. The new PoP extends the reach of RETN’s network, providing local and international businesses with direct access to RETN’s infrastructure and services. Besides, it offers a faster, more reliable and secure connection to cloud and IT services available at Altus IT data center.

RETN is one of the leading independent European network service providers with a unique capability to connect Europe and Asia. Its network is predominantly concentrated in Europe, the CIS countries and Russia, which makes it stand out from other European and global players. Since 2016 RETN started to expand the network into the Balkan region to support the needs of customers in southeast Europe who require high quality and reliable connectivity with the whole of Europe, and vice versa.

Daniel Jasinski, Managing Director at RETN Poland, commented on the launch of the PoP: “We continue to expand our presence in SEE to enhance connectivity opportunities for our customers and support their business development in the region. The new PoP in Zagreb is beneficially located for multiple interconnections, linking Western Europe via Vienna with neighboring Balkan countries through one seamless and easy to manage network. We chose Altus IT data center to establish our presence in Croatia as they have proven to be the regional leaders in the industry. Having successfully deployed the PoP at their location, we are looking forward to our further cooperation in future”.

Goran Đoreski, Altus IT CEO, emphasized on the occasion: "We are extremely pleased to welcome RETN in our facility.  RETN greatly compliments our network provider ecosystem with its unique position to provide cost effective and reliable connectivity solutions to Eastern Europe, Russia and beyond. Adding RETN’s capacities to our data center services means that our customers will be enjoying the best experience, as we continue to serve as the hub where partners, customers and operators can meet, peer, exchange traffic, and grow the business together.”
