HT Wins Another Speedtest Award for the Best Mobile Network in Croatia

Hrvatski Telekom's mobile network was once again recognized as the best in 2022, winning three Ookla Speedtest Awards for Best Mobile Network, Fastest Mobile Network, and Best Mobile Coverage. The awards are the result of extensive in-depth research where Ookla analyzed more than 600,000 user-initiated tests on the Speedtest iOS and Android mobile applications, as well as the results of more than 344 million scans at 239,754 locations of all mobile operators in Croatia during 2022.

HT’s mobile network recorded the best annual Speed ​​Score as it recorded score of 106.69 which represents a 27% improvement compared to 2021. At the same time, HT achieved the country’s best Coverage Score result of 835. The results of the analysis confirm that HT in 2022 additionally improved the network quality which is also reflected in the additionally improved customer experience.

“The latest recognition from Ookla and the best score is a direct indication of our significant and continuous investments in the development and quality of the mobile network. In line with our strategy, we continue with infrastructure investments, which directly contribute to the development of Croatian society and economy, providing an essential platform for future development and foundation for meeting Croatian growing need for digitization“, stated Boris Drilo, member of the Management Board and CTIO of Hrvatski Telekom.

HT said it is focused on investments in the development of network infrastructure, especially fiber and 5G networks, which are the backbone for the digitalization of Croatian society and economy. Accordingly, HT's 5G network, which was in Q2-Q3 2022 confirmed by Ookla as the fastest 5G in Croatia, covers almost 100 cities across the country, and more than 2 million people. At the same time, HT's FTTH network, already the largest in Croatia, each year continues with strong roll-out growth, enabling fast fiber internet for more than half a million households in big cities, as well as in suburban and rural areas.
