At the CES 2026 show, LG unveiled a three-pronged approach for consumer uses of the technology with a strong focus on home and transport systems. The AI in Action strategy was unveiled at a briefing that LG holds annually on the eve of the CES.

Along with elements to put AI into action, the approach involves employing the technology in LG’s products and providing a broader ecosystem enabling it to be used in homes, vehicles, and commercial settings. The company is targeting a role in orchestrating devices, spaces, and services. CEO Lyu Jae-cheol explained that the approach intends to reap more real-world benefits from AI, which LG plans to achieve through the technology used and ecosystem provided for its devices.

LG offered a vision of homes requiring “zero labour”, using AI to manage housework by coordinating device usage. Lyu said the company is at a powerful advantage due to its deep understanding of customer lifestyles. It highlighted LG CLOiD, a human-esque robot equipped with arms and hands that can learn about the space it is used in to optimise its performance.

LG stated the home robot could ultimately evolve into a caregiver, along with a housekeeper. Also in focus were LG’s AI vehicle systems, along with its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products.
