Croatia-based Orqa announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Barzan Holdings, Qatar’s Defence and Security Company. The MoU was signed by Orqa Chief Operations Officer Tomislav Krolo and the Barzan Group CEO Mohamed Badr Al-Sadah.
This marks a significant step forward in strengthening relations between Qatar and Croatia. The MoU is a public endorsement of mutual intention to explore and negotiate a partnership for the localization of Orqa drone production in the State of Qatar and is an important step toward developing our commercial relationship. Barzan Holdings is the commercial gateway to the country’s defence industry. Its mission is to strengthen Qatar’s sovereignty and support the long-term development of its human capital and defence and security sector through global partnerships and impactful collaborations.
“We are delighted to have signed a MoU with Barzan Holdings as part of our ongoing Global Manufacturing Partnership Program - a strategic initiative to expand Orqa’s production capacity to more than one million drones per year through collaborations with trusted partners worldwide. It is a clear vote of confidence in Orqa, our capabilities, and products, and will support Barzan Holdings as they grow Qatar’s defence capability and become a leading global defence company, ultimately placing Qatar in the forefront of the global defence sector,” said Srdjan Kovacevic, co-founder and CEO of Orqa.
